Statistics

America is the fifth highest reporting nation for fire deaths.  Each year (approximately) 3000-5000 people die from fire.  Of those, 800 are children under age 9, and 1200 are senior citizens.  Additionally, tens of thousands are injured by fire.

Burdened with this knowledge and a passion

Fire Captain Greg Lawler, a 24-year veteran of the fire service created Hand2Live.  He set out to create Hand2Live, after discovering his own 6 year old daughter could not open her bedroom window, while practicing a family fire drill.  After studying the problem, Hand2Live created their signature product called Life Lift.  Life Lift is a specifically engineered handle to adapt to windows that have a small finger grip area called a sash lift. The handle can be fully grasped and the leverage helps kids and others open their windows.

Our Story Told - Your Response

An article in the Dallas Morning News about Life Lift revealed many people, not just kids, need help opening windows.  Life Lift's original concept to help people escape quickly was justifiably confirmed, however, several people identified a second benefit of simply using the window to enjoy fresh air on nice days.  This new development set the stage to market this life safety product as a Patriotic Product which is Made in the USA Standing for American values of FREEDOM and FRESH AIR.  Stay safe and make the most out of life with Hand2Live!

Corporate Responsibility

Hand2Live has chosen a charitable cause through the Dallas-based Parkland Health & Hospital System , home to one of the leading civilian burn units in the country.  Through this organization, and with your help, Hand2Live dedicates a portion of its profits to the Parkland burn center.  In line with our mission of reducing fire injury and deaths, those contributions will be distributed to include fire prevention education, burn treatment advancements and sending children who have suffered burn injuries to attend a special summer camp.
